Cultural Vision

"Love God, Love People, Teach People to Love"

Our cultural vision is accomplished through worship (Love God), fellowship (Love People), and discipleship (Teach People to Love). We worship God collectively with other believers, and individually through our daily lives. Fellowship allows us to love one another, encourage one another and hold each other accountable. Through discipleship we participate in saving people and helping them grow to spiritual maturity.

Our hope and goal is that the CapCity congregation will resemble the characteristics of the church that we read about in Acts 2.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

The church will be a dwelling that is conducive to spiritual transformation. The church will cultivate an authentic community where people will view one another as family. We will genuinely worship God through our praise and our lifestyle. We will be committed to saving and discipling people. Ultimately, our vision is to multiply. We believe that God can can light a fire in the hearts of our community that can spread immensely among those prepared to accept it. After we help to develop a healthy and faithful community of believers here in Sacramento, we plan to use what we have learned, along with what we have been blessed with, to support church plants in surrounding areas as well.
